41 Patriots Demand DOJ Stop Defending Gun Registry Scheme
WASHINGTON - America's gun rights champions are fighting back against government overreach. Representative Andrew Clyde, the Constitution's fiercest defender on Capitol Hill, joined forces with 40 other patriots to deliver a scorching letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi.
Their message is crystal clear: The DOJ has gone rogue.
Trump's Victory Being Sabotaged
Here's what's happening. President Trump signed the One Big Beautiful Bill Act in July, eliminating the crushing $200 tax on firearms regulated under the National Firearms Act. That's short-barreled rifles, shotguns, silencers, and other constitutionally protected weapons.
But the swamp creatures at DOJ won't quit. They're defending an illegal gun registry scheme, even though Congress eliminated the tax that justified it in the first place.
This is taxation without representation in reverse. No tax means no constitutional authority for registration.
Constitutional Patriots Strike Back
Rep. Clyde and his fellow freedom fighters aren't backing down. In their blistering letter, they schooled the DOJ on basic constitutional law:
"The registration requirements under the NFA are inseparably linked to its taxation provisions. Following the OBBBA's elimination of the tax, the constitutional foundation for applying the NFA's transfer and registration requirements no longer exists."
The Supreme Court said it plain as day in the 1930s: the NFA only works as a tax measure. No tax, no registry. Period.
Government Gun Grab Exposed
What the DOJ is really trying to do is convert a tax law into a federal gun registry. That's something Congress has never authorized and has repeatedly rejected.
Think about it: if the IRS eliminated income taxes but still demanded you file returns every year or face prison time, you'd call that tyranny. Same principle applies here.
Gun Owners of America is leading the charge in court with their "One Big Beautiful Lawsuit," fighting to end this constitutional violation once and for all.
Time to Choose Sides
The ball is in DOJ's court now. They can either stand with the Second Amendment and the Constitution, or keep defending Barack Obama's gun control legacy.
Real Americans know which side they're on. It's time for the Department of Justice to remember they work for We the People, not the gun-grabbing establishment.
The Constitution is clear. The Supreme Court precedent is settled. Congress has spoken.
No taxation without registration. No registration without taxation.
