Illinois Democrat Wants to Abolish ICE, Calls Border Enforcement 'Terror'
Another radical Democrat shows their true colors on immigration. Illinois Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton, now running for U.S. Senate, wants to completely abolish Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) because she thinks enforcing our immigration laws is too "punitive."
Speaking on NBC's "Meet the Press NOW," Stratton made it crystal clear where she stands: she's more concerned about protecting illegal immigrants than protecting American citizens.
"What does not work is criminalizing our immigrant neighbors. That's unacceptable," Stratton declared, completely ignoring the fact that people who enter our country illegally have already broken the law.
When pressed about her extreme position, Stratton doubled down, claiming ICE agents are conducting "terror" operations in Chicago. She specifically criticized "Operation Midway Blitz," calling it an assault on innocent "tamale vendors" and "daycare providers."
The Real Terror: Open Borders Agenda
Here's what Stratton won't tell you: ICE exists to protect American communities from dangerous criminals who shouldn't be here in the first place. But Democrats like Stratton want to dismantle the very agencies that keep our neighborhoods safe.
"When you put ICE under DHS, you already start thinking about our immigrant communities through that punitive lens," she complained. That's the point. Immigration enforcement is supposed to be about enforcing the law, not providing social services to people who violated our sovereignty.
Stratton wants to replace law enforcement with what she calls a "holistic approach" focused on "community-based resources" and creating pathways to citizenship for people who cut the line.
Constitution Over Chaos
The Founding Fathers understood something Stratton doesn't: nations have borders for a reason. Article IV, Section 4 of the Constitution requires the federal government to protect states from invasion. Abolishing ICE would be a complete abdication of that constitutional duty.
While hardworking Americans struggle with inflation and crime, Democrats like Stratton want to spend taxpayer money on "immigration judges and social services" for people who shouldn't be here legally in the first place.
This is exactly the kind of radical thinking that's destroying cities like Chicago. Americans deserve leaders who put America First, not politicians who think enforcing our laws is "terror."
The choice is clear: we can have a nation of laws, or we can have Democrat chaos. There's no middle ground.
