Illinois House Democrats just declared war on President Trump and the American people who voted for him. In a series of partisan votes that would make the founding fathers roll over in their graves, these radical leftists used taxpayer time to advance their anti-American agenda.
Democrats Waste Time on Political Theater
Led by House Speaker Emanuel "Chris" Welch, these Democrats passed a slate of resolutions condemning what they falsely called "illegal and corrupt actions" by the Trump administration. Every single Republican opposed this shameful display of partisan politics.
The radical package included demands to reinstate failed Obamacare subsidies, release billions in frozen childcare funds to blue states, and force the Treasury to send $2,000 checks to households earning under $250,000. They blamed President Trump's America First tariff policies for economic hardship, ignoring the prosperity these policies will bring to American workers.
Attacking Our Border Security Heroes
Most disgracefully, these Democrats attacked Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and our brave immigration enforcement officers. They called for Noem's resignation and launched baseless accusations of "excessive force" against agents protecting our borders from illegal invasion.
House Republican Leader Tony McCombie fired back at Democrats for stealing conservative talking points about "affordability," a concept Republicans have championed while Democrats spent us into inflation hell.
Rahm Emanuel Pushes Age Limits
Meanwhile, former Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel is floating a mandatory retirement age of 75 for all government branches. Speaking at a liberal think tank event, Emanuel said "Seventy-five years, you're out." The 66-year-old is eyeing a 2028 presidential run.
Patriots Stand Strong
Republicans correctly called this entire spectacle what it is: political theater designed to undermine our democratically elected president. While Democrats waste time on partisan attacks, President Trump continues delivering on his promises to secure our borders, protect American jobs, and restore law and order.
The American people see through these desperate tactics. We voted for change, and no amount of Illinois Democrat grandstanding will stop the Trump agenda from making America great again.
